Sponsored events

Sporting glory could be yours.

You don’t have to dress up like a meerkat and run the London Marathon to raise money for Peach, but it’s certainly one way to do it.

These days there are many different ways to raise money through a sponsored event; at Peach we welcome absolutely anything. A sponsored event is a great way to raise awareness and money to help children with autism and as well as raising vital funds, it can be a lot of fun as well.

There are many ways to do it. There are the classic marathons and half marathons, which take every where London, Paris, New York or even just regular York.

For those who are athletically challenged there are 5ks, 10ks and fun-runs.

For the more exotically inclined why not emulate Cheryl Cole and try climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or walk the length of The Great Wall of China? This would help a good cause and leave you with a lifetimes worth of memories. Read how Theo’s mum was inspired.

Feel free to be creative, have the longest ever football match or race go-karts on ice, have a sumo-wrestle or do the baked beans in a bath thing.

Whatever you choose to do or want to do get in touch with Peach and we will give you everything you need to get started including sponsorship forms, t-shirts and any further help or advice you may need.

To get you going and give you a feel of what it would be like here read all about Peach supporter Gareth’s achievement in the Great South Run.

At any one time there are various sponsored events on the Peach section of the Just Giving website.  If you are a UK taxpayer we can claim another 25% for each donation we receive.  This means for every £1,000 donated we can claim an additional £250. If you do not want to take part yourself, sponsor someone else.
