Information Days

Peach organises Autism Information Days which are half day training sessions for educational professionals at all levels.  They cover two topics

·                      What is Autism

·                      Behaviour Management – strategies for education professionals working with children with autism.

The ‘What is Autism’ course covers the definition of autism and the characteristics of autism.  Information is given on the triad of impairments and the deficits and excesses.  This is illustrated by practical examples; some approaches to autism will be outlined as well as hints and tips on managing the child in the classroom.

The ‘Behaviour Management’ course focuses on the behavioural management aspects of teaching a child with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.  Guidance will be given on implementing specific behavioural interventions into the classroom and practical tips will be given to create an effective learning environment for a child with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

For more information on these two courses contact the Peach office.

If you require any type of help and support or specific training that is not outlined here, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
