Training and Consultancy for Families
Two Day Initial Workshop
When you choose Peach as your EIBI/ABA provider, you programme will start with an initial two day workshop. Your allocated case manager will travel to your home and spend 2-3 days teaching you how to begin your ABA programme. This will include instruction about the teaching methods we use, what to teach and how to teach it, how to keep records and how to supervise your team. It will also teach you how to analyse difficulties in your child’s learning process. Much of the two days will be spent working with your child.
New Parents’ Days
Peach aims to hold a number of new parents’ days each year. These are opportunities for small groups of parents who have just received a diagnosis to meet together. Members of the Peach team also attend to give information on how ABA works in practice and funding issues.
Conferences
Peach usually holds one or two conferences each year on subjects which are important to parents. Conferences are a chance for parents to meet with each other as well as a chance to learn about issues which are important to them or the sector.
ABA Courses
Peach runs a large selection of courses at our main office in Ascot and throughout the UK. A list of current courses can be found in the News section and a list of all topics covered can be found in the section Training and Support for ABA professionals. These are courses that your tutors will find very useful. All attendees receive a certificate as evidence of ongoing professional development.
Ongoing Consultancy
We also offer short term consultancy for families running their own ABA programmes that need occasional input. For further details contact the clinical manager at the Peach office.
