Monitoring Standards and Quality of Service

Whilst an increase in service provision has been crucial, the need to monitor standards and quality continues to be an ongoing aim of PEACH.

The charity attempts to maintain regular liaison with UK based providers and will seek to address any comments received by its members with regard to individual providers.

We welcome and encourage all tutors and senior staff to join the charity and to work with us to improve communication and UK wide quality standards.

Raising Awareness

A great deal of work is still necessary to raise awareness about the benefits of early intervention and the Lovaas programme.

At PEACH, we attempt to do this through a number of approaches:

  • Approaching and lobbying central government.
  • Meeting with and offering guidance to Local Education authorities on the benefits of Early Intervention.
  • Providing media coverage about programmes both in the press, on Television and in radio broadcasts.
  • Mounting talks, seminars and conferences across the country.
  • Hosting fundraising events to both raise money for our work and also to spread the word about the benefits of Early Behavioural Intervention.

We continue to need support in our campaign to make the programme a real and achievable choice for parents of children with autism.

We aim to increase our programme of events in 2004 and welcome requests for talks, attendance at local events and fund-raising initiatives.
